Manchester United are reportedly in advanced negotiations for their third major summer signing as the Sir Jim Ratcliffe revolution continues at Old Trafford.
United have already secured forward Joshua Zirkzee for £36.5 million from Bologna and defender Leny Yoro for up to £62 million from Lille, outbidding Real Madrid for the highly-rated defender in the process.

In a surprising twist, United may sign another Bayern Munich player before Matthijs de Ligt. Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg claims United are in ‘advanced talks’ to sign Bayern full-back Noussair Mazraoui.
West Ham’s Deal with Mazraoui Collapses
West Ham had been favorites to sign the 26-year-old right-back, with the BBC reporting that the Premier League club had agreed to a €16 million (£13.47 million) fee, with potential add-ons of €3.5 million (£2.95 million). However, Plettenberg now reports that negotiations have collapsed, paving the way for United.
He tweeted: “Noussair #Mazraoui deal with West Ham is OFF! No agreement on agent’s side has been reached. Despite the agreement between the clubs and on the player’s side, West Ham now have left the negotiations. Manchester United now pushing to sign Mazraoui. Advanced talks.”
Mazraoui, born in the Netherlands, joined Ajax as a youngster and made 137 appearances for the Dutch club, scoring 10 goals. He joined Bayern on a free transfer in 2022 and made 29 appearances for the Bundesliga giants last season.
Pre-Season Preparations and Future Plans
United are currently on their pre-season tour in the United States, having lost to Rosenborg and beaten Rangers in Europe. They will face Arsenal in Los Angeles early Sunday morning, followed by matches against Real Betis and Liverpool, before taking on Manchester City in the Community Shield on August 10. Their Premier League campaign begins against Fulham on August 16.
Wan-Bissaka’s Future in Doubt

Another potential departure is Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is in the final 12 months of his contract.
United prefer to sell Wan-Bissaka this summer to avoid losing him for free next year, especially as they aim to sign Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui as his replacement. West Ham and Inter Milan are interested, with the Hammers willing to meet United’s reported £18 million asking price.
However, the Premier League club is unlikely to match Wan-Bissaka’s salary expectations. The 26-year-old wants a significant upgrade on his £90,000 contract at Old Trafford. According to The Sun, Wan-Bissaka is holding up the deal with West Ham, demanding United compensate him for joining a club unable to meet his wage demands. He wants a portion of his £18 million fee from United. If that doesn’t happen, he may stay and sign a pre-contract agreement with West Ham or Inter Milan in January.
